Some of my latest creations.

here are some of my latest layouts the two top ones for scrapbook city DT and the other two are one I did for myself in a comp on an american site. The tosca bear one is the example for this weeks challenge at scrapbook city, go and check the challenge out I would LOVE it if you particpated in the challenge. We also have a cyber crop on from Thirsday to Sunday so come and join in, I promise, you don't want to miss this one, there is some great surprises in store!!

This Tosca bear layout was about a book week day Jazzy had when she was a kindy. She had to choose her favourite character from a book and she chose Tosca bear. I made her a costume and she was very excited. When we arrived at kindy the other girls in the class were all dressed in pink as princesses and one of the girls told Jasmine that she couldn't play with them because she was a bear. Jasmine went and stood by herself on the fort and the look on her face brok my heart. i took these photos of her. I wanted to race home and get her princess costume but knew that I had to let her work through the situation. She wouldn't talk about the happenings to anyone, It was so hard to watch my gorgeous 4 year old go through this. she was so excited and because of the other girls, it ruined her excitement. i was so proud that she chose tosca bear and iot would have been so easy for me to encourage her to go as a princess and maybe I should have as it would have saved her from feeling sad, but she is an individual and I love that quality in her. I felt that this was a story that had to be doccumented. I used the gorgeous fancy pants felt and the amazing fancy pants "my Story" journaling stamps!!!!

How Cute is he??!!??!!

I took this photo for a DT project I was doing the other day and I just love it to bits and I had to share.

Butter wouldn't melt in his mouth!!!! (NOT!!!) LMAO!!!!!!

I had a ball at the papercrafts expo, I had so much fun working on the Scrapbook city stand it looked great and we definately has the latest and greatest products there, The sizzix stuff and the wooden products as well as the gorgeous glitter papers walked out the door!!!

sadly due to the school holidays the show wasn't as busy as we had hoped but fun all the same.

I got the absolute joy of catching up with some of the EMM girls. The EMM stand looked fabulous. Ruthy, Karen, Sara,Jay, Rondelle of course, I got to meet Rondelle's Mum, Linda N, Linda and Ronnie from SC and last but absolutely not least the devine Miss Shazz. Oh this woman makes me laugh til my sides hurt and smile the biggest smiles. I soooooooooooooooooo wish that we lived closer (and that isn't because she has a craft robo and I want to use it.................. well maybe a little bit?!! LMAO) but because she is just such an amazing person and a special friend. (Trish, my sis thought so even though she didn't get to meet her because she was at uni ALL day hey trish, I would have loved to catch up with you ;) Anyway, a great weekend had by all!!!!!

ok here is my latest DT layout using the awesome My mins eye Confeti sunny Days range. So bright and happy I love it. Everything on the layout but the buttons is the confetti range. Scrapbbok City has the entire range and the My minds Eye Bohemia II they are beautiful go and get some before they sell out!!!! I knaw I know, I suck at taking photos of layouts, I didn't realise that this wasn't straight til the layout was at the shop so it was too late to take more pics but you get the drift!!!

I am teaching another class at scrapbook City on Saturday. It is a journaling class giving you some fresh different way of journaling and making the journaling an embellishiment. We will be stamping and using some awesome new tools so contact the store to book in. here is a sneak peak of the class example layout-

I think that is about all. I will have some more layouts in the next few days to share so will pop back in then.

oops never uploaded this one.

this is a DT layout I did a while back using basic Grey Periphery and buttons. This is a lyout about Brad and Ethan getting the chance to spend quality time together! lots of photos on this one.

another layout!

I have been wanting to do a layout about Jasmine's imaginary friend for a while now and the Love elsie papers were great for it. It is very colourful and busy for me but I like it. Beth has a challenge blog based around journaling and I thought that I would participate. This fortnight it was "the story behind the story" and this was my entry. the journaling on the left hand side of the layout is a "phone " conversation between Jasmine and lovehearty (hence the photo of Jasmine on the phone! she and "lovehearty" arranged to meet int the toy section of Big W one day I thought that this was so funny and just had to record it. and behind her drawing is hidden journaling detail the story of Lovehearty.

the journaling reads-

I am not sure of the exact time that Lovehearty first made an "appearance" in Jasmine's life but it was when Jasmine was in Pre School. Lovehearty is jasmine's imagination friend (as Jasmien calls it) She is a girl,is 5 and turns 6 in december. She lives somewhere near us with her mummy and Daddy. Lovehearty makes Jasmine feel happy when she is sad and her favourite colour is pink and her name is lovehearty because she wears a dress with a loveheart on it . Lovehearty loves to go shopping , draw and go to the shops just like Jasmine. at the moment she is very sick in hospital with an imaginary sickness called "Globbly". Jasmine is very worried about her. There are times that lovehearty just happens to be in the places that Jasmine wants to go and we have to meet her there. I love that Jasmine has a vivid imagination, is so clever with lovehearty's movements and lifestyle and her antics make me laugh. I don't know how long that lovehearty will be around for but I hope that Jasmine will look back in years to come with fond memories.

I wish Journaling

As promised on Scrapbook city, here is the journaling that is on my layout I wish. the layout is about my father and how much I miss him. ok here goes........

I wish that I had more photos of you and I together. I wish that father's day was a happier occasion for me as it is times like this that i missyou the most. I ask myself almost every day why it had to be you. I would give anything to have you here to see my life and the wonderful choices that I have made. I wish that you could see how happy I am and that I have found my sould mate like you did. I wish that you could have met Brad. He ios like you in many ways and you would have got on so well together. I wish that you had have had the chance to become a Grandfather. You would have 5 gorgeous Grandchildren and you would have loved every moment you would have had with them. Jasmine's kind nature would have made your heart melt and Ethan's sense of humour and likeness to Michael would have made you laugh. You wuold havebeen so proud of us, we have all done our best in everything and have achieved so much. I have worked very hard in my chosen field and have been successful in my career. I wish that you could have seen me work towards my goals and I know that you would have supported me in any path I chose. I loved that you always let us be who we are. I wish that you could see all of your hard work as a parent paid off. I wish that you could see how much I learnt from you in the 14 years of my life that you were here. I wish that you and Mum could be doing all of the things that you had planned to do to together when we were grown up. I wish that I didn't have those moments that I forget what you like like or how you sounded. I wish that I could always remember every moment we shared as father and DaughterI am so glad that we said our normal "good night, love you, see you in the morning on that last night. I am than kful for the amazing relationship that we had and I am thankful for You. You were an amazing Dad and i miss you so much. I wish that yuo were still here with us but do know in some way, my guardian angel....... you are. I'll love you forever dad Iwish you love. oxoxox Tam

This morning I got a phone call on my mobile, I was at work and when I looked at the screen and it said "mike mobile" I got that sinking feeling straight away. My grandmother passed away in her sleep in the early hours of this morning. She has always been known to us as Marnie and as far as Grandmothers go she was the best. I have so many amazing memories and as an adult now I realise just how hard she worked at creating such a wonderful relationship with us. i am pretty much gutted right now, but know that it is best for her, she really was struggling and was really down and in pain with her back. It wouldn't have been long before she would have to have been moved to an assisted living facility and I don't think she would have coped with it. Marnie, I love you so much, thank you for being you, for all the fun times and for always telling me how beautiful and wise I am. You have your wings now. xoxoxo

(photo taken at my wedding in 1999.)

thanks for reading,

I Have Been Scrapjacking!

I stumbled accross the Aussie Scrap Jacked Blog a few weeks a go and thought that I would give it a go. Sheree McGee is the Jackee this month and her featured layout was an awesome layout to jack so here is what i came up with. The photos are of my friends absolutely gorgeous children and after a few months of promising i would do her a layout..... here it is!!! I titled it "Easy to Love" Simply because they are! They are the sweetest kids. I really enjoyed diong this one and love the result. Unfortunately the detail in the title (dimensional magic and 3-D effect didn't really show up in the photos but you get the picture. The handstitching was fun and turned out nicely too!!
Anyway I must go to bed now so I will pop back tomorrow and post more of my latest creations!!

Byeeeeeee,
Tam xoxo

7. I love making and decorating children's birthday cakes.

8. I hate exercising, I tell everyone, that exercise is "not in my contract"

Ok that is my eight

now I don't even know who I can tag, sorry if this is a pain but you don't have to do it if you don't want!
1. Shazz
2. Trish
3. Kelley Forrester
4. Sara N
5.Linda (scrapaddict)
and anyone else that wants to have a go!!!!
ok so the layouts for last months EMMIES are floating around this post. I am quite happy with them. I love the Floating market one, that was the challenge pack for June which I was delighted to find out that I won!!!! how excitement!!! we had a sketch challenge which is TWO party, BOM which was of our school memories, I did mine on one of my high school teachers and the impact she had on me!!! we also had to do a layout using flowers and "blinging" them up, that is my butterfly layout. I also have three layouts that I am in the middle of so will share them when I am done.
In scrapbook city news -Alicia Barry has left the SC design Team which was a shock and I have to say I am really sad. she has worked so hard and contributed so much and I will miss her heaps. Thank you Alicia for inspiring and encouraging me and I wish you all the best with your scrapping endeavours and with your gorgeous family, take care.
Alicia started up a blog challenge to talk about someone's work that inspires you. I went blog surfing and found someone. Her name is Tammy Templeton I have had contact with her briefly on scrapboxx a while a go and have always admired her work. I was having a look at Aussie scrapjacked and noticed that she is a DT member there so clicked on her link and checked out her blog. her layouts are gorgeous. they are always so bright and happy, she has the grooviest eye for colour in design and I love how her layouts are colourful, fun and busy but not too busy IYKWIM. I haven't left a comment for her cause I kind of felt like I was stalking her but i have pm'd her on scrapboxx a while ago to tell her I loved her work so I think that is near enough so go and check her blog/ work out if you want, it is very cool!!! Tammy Templetons blog -http://my-scrapbook-nook.blogspot.com/
Another thing that I discovered while Blog surfing was a post on Zina Wrights Blog about how she displays her children's art and she posed the question what is the grooviest way that yuo have displayed your kids work. Like Zina I love art and particularly children's art. So I thought that I would answer Zina's question with photos of how Jazzy and Ethan's creations are displayed here, I took some photos last week and went to retrieve them from the camera before and My DH has taking the memory card with those pics on it out of the camera so i will have to take some more of track the memory card down!!! So in the next few days you will be treated to a visual smorgasboard of Art art art!!! LOL. I would love to pass on the challenge so if you have your kids art on display at home somewhere even if it is a folder in the cupboard tell me about it or show me. Seriously check out Zina's blog the post I am talking about was on June 27th and is titled Art makes me happy.
Finally, thanks to my gorgeous friend (you know who you are!!!) that msn'd me tonight (friday night) we had a lovely chat and it was perfect timing because I was feeling sooky bored and lonely and she brightened my night!!! I am so totally blessed and fortunate to have had this amazing person come into my life "mwahh" to you girl, you rock (LOL)!!!!!!
Anyway gotta love and leave you, arrrggghhhh it is 12:30pm I have to go to bed!!!
Thanks for popping in,
Tam xoxoxox
